Alaska driving clinics

We are hoping to return to Alaska in 2013 to present another driving clinic. If you have any interest in attending one of the locations contact Angelia at  angelia.trujillo@gmail.com

Last year we were in the following locations:

BUTTE  (Palmer)    May 30 & 31

Homer  June 2 & 3

FAIRBANKS June 9 & 10

These clinics are designed to help drivers of all levels:

· beginners who want to experience this new aspects of horsemanship

· current drivers who wants to learn how to have more control, be safe and have fun

· advanced driver who wants to improve their skills

· everyone can learn how to be a safe and confident driver

For those of you who already drive – please bring your horse, harness and vehicle.

Beginners – your horses are also welcome to participate if they are trained to drive!!

Day One:

Safety overview

Basic harness parts, styles and proper fitting

Driving with contact – why it is so important

Hitching safely

Everyone gets to drive

Day Two:

Safety review

Bits and rein/line adjustments

Practice the skills of driving with contact

Driving practice

Addressing individual issues
